AutomotiveCloudWatch is a publication on Substack for leaders shaping automotive, manufacturing, AI and physical systems. Posts reach your inbox as they publish, on no fixed schedule, so the list of recent posts below shows the real pace.

What you get

Free is a real plan. Paid is optional.

Free

Free subscription

The free posts by email as they publish, the free archive, comments and Notes. Subscribing costs nothing.

Paid

Paid subscription

Some posts are for paid subscribers only. Substack shows a paywall on those posts, so you can tell before you read. Substack also lists these paid extras:

  • Quarterly technology briefings for automotive and manufacturing
  • A briefing from each major show within a week of its close
  • One decision memo a month

Audio and video

Audio and video editions

Many posts come with an audio edition, but not every post does. Some posts have a video edition, and on a paid post the video plays as a preview clip, with the full video for paid subscribers on Substack.

Plans and prices are set and shown by Substack when you subscribe. Email delivery is handled by Substack, and this site cannot guarantee it.

Who gets what

Substack and ACW membership are two products.

Substack paid and ACW membership are separate. A paid subscription on Substack does not open the members area here, and ACW membership does not open paid posts on Substack.

On Substack

Substack paid

Paid posts and the paid extras Substack lists: quarterly technology briefings, a briefing from each major show within a week of its close, and one decision memo a month.

Billing and your account stay on Substack. It does not open the ACW members area or the Executive Briefings on this site.

On this site

ACW member on trial

The whole members area during a free trial, one trial for each email address: the library, member research, Ask Shawn and call requests.

A limited number of Executive Briefings. Paid posts on Substack are not included.

On this site

ACW member, paid

The whole members area and every Executive Briefing. Billing is on this site through Stripe. Paid posts on Substack are not included.

Briefings

Executive Briefings access

Members on a free trial can open a limited number of briefings. Paid members can open all of them. A paid subscription on Substack does not open them.

Where things happen

Reading, subscribing and your account.

Reading

Read here or on Substack

This site lists every post with its summary and a link to the full text. Posts open on Substack, and paid posts stay behind its paywall.

Subscribing

Subscribe on Substack

Subscriptions, plans and payments all happen on Substack. The subscribe buttons on this page open Substack in a new tab, and this site never sees your email address.

Your account

Manage it on Substack

Your plan, payment details, email preferences and unsubscribing are in your Substack account. Subscribing there does not create an account on this site.

A link that leaves this site carries an arrow after its text, and a screen reader announces it as an external link.
